A failure to establish writ of the government
The Pakistan People’s Party and the Jamaat-I-Islami have entered an agreement to ban women from casting their votes in Low Dir,
Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa interim Information Minister Musarrat Qadeem said that a complaint had been sent to the Election Commission of Pakistan as stopping women from using their right of franchise, as it was a crime.
Sources said that the agreement was signed between both the parties for provincial assembly seat PK-94.
ban
on voting rights of women in Lower Dir,is a failure to establish writ of
the government over radical elements in the Northern areas of Pakistan.
It is un-Islamic,unconstitutional and a violation of fundamental rights
of women envisaged in the constitution of Pakistan.
i really don't know to what pppp upto without any proper campaigning with this much hatred among people. taking this act ??? i mean this is senseless
Jamaat-ul-Islami objective
The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of an Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. The JI opposes Western Ideologies such as capitalism, socialism and secularism, and practices such as bank interest and liberalist social values but party advocates democracy as integral part of Islamic political ideals.
BNP
The BNP has vote bank in Balochistan’s Khuzdar, Kalat, Wadh, Mastung, Quetta, Panjgur, Naushki areas as well as its Makran belt. The party enjoys street power in Quetta and its workers frequently stage protest demonstrations against the non-recovery of missing persons and killings of political workers in the province.
For the May 2013 election, BNP launched a campaign from Quetta on April 7, demanding all ‘missing’ persons be recovered before the date of the election. On the occasion, Akhtar also said that boycotting the election was still an option for the party.
The party further set conditions for free, fair and transparent polls in Balochistan, with the first demand being the recovery of ‘missing’ persons. The BNP also demanded an end to the killings of Baloch political activists, rehabilitation of internally-displaced persons of the province as well as guaranteed safety for election candidates and workers.
